At Home of Love, our Vocational and Educational Skill Building Services help residents explore, prepare for, and pursue meaningful opportunities in work and learning. We support each individual’s personal goals by building the practical skills and confidence needed to thrive beyond residential care.
What We Offer:
1. Job Readiness Training
Support with resume writing, completing job applications, mock interviews, and workplace expectations.
2. Daily Life & Workplace Skills
Guidance on time management, punctuality, communication, and organization—core habits for success in work or school environments.
3. Vocational Exploration
Assistance in identifying strengths, interests, and career pathways through guided activities, discussions, and exposure to various job roles.
4. Educational Support
Help with GED prep, literacy skills, digital literacy, or returning to school through referrals, tutoring support, and motivation coaching.
5. On-Site Skill Practice
Residents practice work-related tasks through structured chores, volunteer opportunities, or simulated work environments in the program.
6. Barrier Reduction & Empowerment
Group and individual support to address self-esteem, stigma, anxiety, or past disruptions in employment or education.
Integrated & Individualized
These services are included in each resident’s Treatment Plan and aligned with their recovery goals to promote sustainable independence and community reintegration.
