Integrated Care for Complex Needs

At Home of Love, we provide specialized support for individuals living with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, or a dual diagnosis involving intellectual/developmental disabilities and behavioral health conditions. Our approach addresses the full picture—ensuring that care is comprehensive, respectful, and recovery-focused.

What We Offer:

1. Integrated Treatment Planning
Each resident’s Treatment Plan is developed to address both mental health and substance use or developmental challenges in a coordinated, person-centered way.

2. Specialized Staff Training
Our team is trained in working with residents who have co-occurring conditions, ensuring interventions are trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and clinically appropriate.

3. Tailored Therapy & Skills Training
Residents participate in individual and group sessions focused on managing overlapping symptoms, emotional regulation, and daily functioning with dual conditions in mind.

4. Psychoeducation for Dual Diagnosis
We provide targeted education for residents (and families) to better understand how their conditions interact and how to manage them effectively.

5. Support for Emotional & Cognitive Challenges
We adapt communication, activities, and interventions to meet the needs of residents with intellectual, cognitive, or learning differences.

6. Collaborative Care Coordination
We work with external providers, developmental disability support services, and outpatient teams to ensure wraparound, consistent care.

Comprehensive, Compassionate Support

Dual diagnosis support is fully integrated into each resident’s Treatment Plan and monitored closely to promote holistic, sustainable progress.

Our Philosophy
No one should be treated for just one part of who they are. We meet residents where they are—honoring the complexity of their needs and supporting every aspect of their healing journey.
